Trabuco Hills High School is excited to announce their new head football coach, Mark Nolan.

Coach Nolan’s hiring is pending Saddleback Valley Unified School District Board of Education approval.

Coach Nolan, who spent last season as the defensive coordinator at Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, AZ, replaces John Abdelnour who resigned at the end of the 2018 season after three years as the Mustangs head coach.

Mark Nolan has a proven record of turning programs into champions.  He has 18 years of high school coaching experience as well as seven seasons in the collegiate ranks.  He has been a high school head coach at Notre Dame Prep in Scottsdale, AZ for two years and Regis Jesuit High School in Aurora, CO for six years. His combined record at the two schools was 63-27. In his 8 years as a high school head coach Coach Nolan had 53 players go on to play college football. His 7 years of coaching at the collegiate level have been at Willamette University in Oregon, University of Colorado, and UC Davis where he worked on evaluating and recruiting high school athletes.

In 2018 Trabuco Hills finished 2-8 overall. The Mustangs won a CIF Southern Section title in 2014.

Coach Nolan and his wife Aspen have three children.
