Physical Fitness Tests
All freshmen not currently enrolled in a PE class must attend school on Tuesday, May 21st , beginning at 8:00 am to complete the California Physical Fitness Test (PFT).
All students in the ninth grade are required by the State of California to take the PFT. The state test is composed of six sections: body composition, aerobic capacity, abdominal strength, trunk strength, upper body strength, and flexibility. Students must pass five of the six sections or they will be required to take a PE class or be enrolled in athletics their entire 10th-grade year.
Because this test is mandated by the State of California, students must attend this testing session which has been designated for all freshmen students not currently enrolled in a PE class. On Tuesday, May 21st, students must meet in the THHS gym no later than 8:00 am. Students must remain on campus after testing, just like any other school day. For additional testing information, please visit: http://www.cde.ca.gov/ta/tg/pf.
